Writing prescriptions

If your Nurse Practitioner judges that your chronic condition justifies regular renewal of your medication without an office visit, the NP will make all reasonable effort to write “repeat” instructions on the prescription for the pharmacist to follow.

Good medical practice dictates that chronic medical conditions should be regularly monitored by the Primary Care Provider. We reserve the right to not renew a prescription if patient is not seen within a certain amount of time for follow up.

Prescriptions that are faxed in to us by your pharmacist, will be reviewed by your Nurse Practitioner. If the renewal is approved, the signed prescription will be faxed back to your pharmacist within 5 business days.
